Hi Everyone,
I'm forced to take a little bit of a blogging break. I managed to have a little accident with my laptop and it's my main outlet to the internets. Time for me to do a little research and buy a new one and then transfer all my data to a safe place. Ouch! I think my vacation fund is going to take a hit and I may end up with a staycation soon instead. Oh well.
I might just catch up on the housework now! Oh who am I kidding. More stitching time!
Be back soon....

Bummer, Valerie!
I'm a big fan of staycations myself. ;) If you want a cheapie vacation, come up to Maine and crash at our place!
Sometimes staycations are the best kind! Hopefully the transfer isn't too painful, and we'll be right here waiting to see all the stitchy progress you have with no computer time!
We'll miss you. Be back soon!!!
I love staycations! It's not as bad as it sounds. To have one though because your laptop took a dive sounds painful though. We'll miss you and look forward to seeing your stitching progress when you return.
What a bummer. I hope you are back with us soon - you will be missed.
Boo! Hurry back, dear friend!
We will miss you while you are away!!! Hope you find the perfect new computer at the perfect price!!!
Of course, if you have to have a staycation in San Francisco you are probably already ahead of the game than say if you were in Kansas.
If I had a stacaytion there I would make a day of Golden Gate Park, the DeYoung Museum and dinner at Tommy's!!!!!!! oh, and a quick trip across the Bay Bridge to that stitch shop in Alameda (is that the right place?)
Oh Valerie! What a bummer! I hope you can get a good computer replacement. A Staycation might turn out to be fun, right? Hope so! We'll miss you!
Oh no - you haven't had your laptop that long - is it not still under guarantee? I hope you manage to sort it out and return to blogland soon - you will be missed!
The power steering pump is on its way out on my mini - the cost of a new one plus labour costs is horrendous so I might also be having a staycation myself this year!
Oh dear...so sorry to hear about the laptop problems, Valerie... Hope you can find a new one soon--we'll miss you :)
Oh, thank goodness you were just kidding about the housework thing, lol! You're my kinda gal!
One of my favorite mottos:
Remember, housework, when done correctly, can kill you!
Sounds like more stitching is just the right remedy, ha!
Hope your computer woes are short lived...we'll miss you!
xox
Oh, that is the pits. Hope you find a computer that suits you quickly.
Staycations can be lots of fun as well, and they are not nearly as exhausting as real vacations....
Hope you can get your computer woes sorted! There's always something, isn't there.
Sorry to hear that Valerie :o( I hope you get things fixed up soon!
Bummer hope you get fixed soon :-).
Ouch, Valerie! I hope you find a good replacement that will be speedy and reliable! In the meantime, being off the 'net also means more stitching time!
That bites!!! Hurry Back!!!
Oh, no! Don't stay away too long.
:(
That sucks. Hope you get it figured out soon without it costing too much $$$!!
Come back soon, Valerie!
Enjoy the time--can't wait to see what you stitch with no computer to distract you!
See you soon I hope Valerie. Can't wait to see what you stitch while you're away from your laptop :)
Will be thinking of you Valerie, i hope you can replace the laptop without too much expense, don't stay away too long
Sorry! Hope you get it all resolved quickly.
Hope you can get back up and running soon. But in the meantime, enjoy your stitching!!
take care and see you on the flip side
Ouch! I've been savin' and savin' for a new computer (my aging Powerbook turned 7 last Thanksgiving week). Sometimes, the saving is even not-spending-no-matter what! Whew! So I understand about that suddenly-needed tech expenditure.
Here's hoping your break is proving unexpectedly enjoyable, and we'll see you soon.
P.S. Great work on "Anniversaries"--the first 3 months are my favorites! :D
P.P.S. Happy Belated Rabbit-Year! Love the graphic in your sidebar for it.
We all need them someitmes!
