For Cathey

I felt badly that I was not able to post pumpkins for Cathey last week and am now, even more saddened by the news that she lost her battle with cancer. I may not have known her personally but I got to know her in my own way through her blog posts and the short emails we exchanged. Cathey, may you be at peace now that you are free from pain. You fought the fight with grace and determination and were an example to us all.

We thought of you with love today
But that is nothing new
We thought about you yesterday
And days before that too
We think of you in silence
We often speak your name
Now all we have are memories
And your picture in a frame
Your memory is our keepsake
With which we'll never part
God has you in his keeping
We have you in our heart.

Beautiful poem, and photo too. She was an example of grace and determination, I agree. So sad for her family.

Very sweet. I was out of the loop on what was going on, but my heart breaks for her family. She seemed like a wonderful lady.
