IHSW and TUSAL

Hello lovlies...how's it all going?

Things, as you can imagine have been busy busy. I don't think there is any other setting at the moment. But let's see if I can remember what I've been up to lately. There hasn't been much stitching going on. At least I don't think so...

I did finish two motifs on Mary Wigham and she is going to be put away for a little while. I can't believe I am still on Part 5 (of 9)! One more motif and over 1 wording (yuk!). It's going back in the wip basket for a spell. Oh, the two motifs I did were the big "Ackworth School" and the gold bird to the right of that one.

I also finished the stitching on Shepherd's Bush Little Eggs Pincushion. I finished before Easter but it took me until this past weekend to finally attach the buttons. I have to look in my stash to see if I have a suitable Easter or soft print to use for the backing.

I started some finishing I can't show yet. I am as slow as molasses when it comes to finishing so of the 3 pieces I wanted to finish, I only managed to complete 1.33 of them. Guess finishing will continue throughout the week/weekend although I am itching to get back to Fairy Moon now.

And lastly, the TUSAL report. I thought I would take a complete shot of what the top of my tv looks like. It has my TUSAL jar, some ranunculus that I picked up at the farmers market along my with roku and cute japanese figurines.

Wow, I am loving the new blogger template! Why did I wait so long to upgrade?! It puts pictures where they are supposed to go and I don't have to go into the html (which I don't even understand) trying to fix things. Awesome! I hope it continues to work this way!

And I thought I would request something that is a total longshot. If there is anyone out there who has Stitchmate scroll rods that they don't like or don't use, please contact me as I may like to purchase them. My order for rods was unfulfilled and I have to figure out another solution...besides qsnaps...or borrowing rods.

Well, I think that's it for me. Until next time...

I love ranunculus!!! Gorgeous! Glad you got a bit more done on Mary Ackworth but I can understand the need to put it away for awhile. So many projects!! Why did I stop stitching for 10 or more years! Think of what more I could have done (and what more stash I could have acquired!!)

Have a great week!!!

Your egg basket is adorable! I put my MW away a long time ago and she hasnt seen the light of day since. I think I only did 4 motifs. TUSAL looks nice and full and your flowers are beautiful!

Hope to see you at NIAH soon!

SB pieces are always so appealing - their colour palette is so relaxing to look at.

Well, like I've always said, progress is progress, no matter how big or how small. Mary Wigham is looking fine :) Beautiful ranunculus. So will we be seeing Fairy Moon again anytime soon? ^.^

Hugs,
Veronica.

Stitching wording over one... Yuck, no wonder it's going back into the WIP basket! ;0)
I'm just as slow with finishing these days. I don't really enjoy doing it but I do like the feeling of accomplishment once it's done!
I'm not sure on the new blogger template yet...I was liking it but I don't understand how to insert a new paragraph? I guess it's a new HTML that I'll have to learn. Ahhh, I hate change!

Very pretty ranunculas, i've planted some in my garden this year, hope they bloom :-)
I love the new blogger too

Oh yes, the new Blogger rocks. (Except for those people with old browsers ~ they are having a lot of trouble!) I had so many headaches with the post layout I switched to the new Blogger almost the minute it came out and never looked back lol

I'm far behind you on MW, so don't worry :-) She's looking great. Very pretty SB too - well done!

So THAT'S what ranunculus is! lol! I've always wondered, both ways. So pretty!! Your Mary Wigham is looking good. You'll get there. Love that SB Little Eggs piece. I might have to pick that one up sometime. Sorry about the scroll rods. I hope you find some.

Love your Mary Wigham!! Too bad she's going back in the WIP pile!! I guess I can understand not wanting to do 1 over 1 letters!! Pretty little pincushion too!! I'm as slow as molasses when it comes to finishing as well...loads to finish!! What gorgeous flowers!! Never knew they were called ranunculus...that's a mouthful!!

Perhaps I should give the new template a go...I'm adverse to changes with technology/browsers!

Your little SB Eggs Pincushion is adorable, Valerie! Such a sweet piece--I know you'll finish it beautifully. Good finishing does take a lot of time so don't be hard on yourself.

Oh, such pretty flowers--they certainly must brighten up your apartment.

Will have to give the new blogger template another try--I switched back to the old one already. I'm just not good with changes in technology at my age!

Love your stitches! Everytime I see yours, I think I need to get mine back out again. It's been over a year since the poor thing has seen daylight!
Such pretty flowers too!
Have you checked eBay for the scroll rods you are looking for?
