Weak

Well, all day I debated what to write about today. No progress to show. Nothing eventful has happened. Things are definitely boring in my little world.

When I got home, *the boy* said he took a funny picture. Awesome, I thought...perfect blog fodder. I tell him to download it to my computer. He gets busy with dinner fixings, we sit to watch Young Frankenstein and as soon as he started snoring, I skedaddled to the bedroom. But...the supposed funny photo is still on his camera. Eff!!

Does it take repeated requests for your guy to get things you asked done? It's one of my biggest pet peeves...first is not listening, second is not doing what you say you are going to do. Boys drive me nuts!

So since I have nothing really interesting to say, I will comment that I saw an advertisement in the local paper that a new needlepoint shop opened in the city I work in. Earlier this year, a teeny needlepoint shop opened in another part of the city I work in. The city I work in is pretty small and now there are two needlepoint stores within the city limits with another needlepoint/cross stitch shop in the next town over. The needlepoint/cross stitch shop is sometimes helpful to me in the form of running into it to see if they have the floss that I just ran out of but otherwise, it's a tad dismal. It's a cute little shop but it has very little fabric, very few charts limited to one cabinet and then lots of needlepoint canvases. I just wish there was a cross stitch store nearby...and if I ever win lotto...that would be my project. The more and more work drives me crazy, the more I dream about stitching and creating during every minute of every waking hour. In the meantime, I will continue to make the 60 mile round trip drive to visit NiaH.

So this is a weak post but I still posted and complied with NaBloPoMo!! Hopefully tomorrow, I'll have some good stuff to show you! And if it comes down to it...I'll show you my recent stash! It's been like Christmas here! lol Damn internet makes it too easy to stock up on more stuff you don't have the time to stitch!

Until next time...

In Fort Worth, I had a needlepoint store but no cross stitch stores. Do people really love needlepoint? I always wondered ... maybe there are needlepoint blogs as well?

That's guys for you! lol! It's a guy mentality I think. You should watch this. (I don't know if they'll let me post a link but if they do, this is perfect for what you're talking about.) It's hysterical cause it's so true! And it shows you -- you're not alone!

If I ever drop dead suddenly, know that it was from the shock of dh doing something the first freakin' time I asked.

The closest LNS to me is in Tulsa or Oklahoma City. Both are an hour's drive. I do have a Hobby Lobby (craft store) in town but their selection is dismal.

I haven't mentioned to DH yet that I just put in a substantial order for stash...we haven't gone anywhere in ages, being football season and I was feeling stash withdrawal!

You are doing really well with NaBlogPoMo!
I didn't join in as I get a few weeks where I can post everyday and then there's a lull - like this past week! My threads have still not arrived from NIAH - I am itching to stitch Sew Winter. I have decided to leave off even thinking about it until next weekend when, if the AVAS or the HDF I have now ordered as a backup has not arrived, I will stitch it with DMC B5200! In the meantime I suppose I could stitch Sew in Love or maybe do a motif or two on Beatrix P!
Enjoy the weekend - [[[Hugs]]]

I still havent gotten to NiaHS since I last mentioned it in mid Oct. I really need to go. I have a full cart at 2 online shops as well.

Ha~~~ I totally agree with you on the last part of the post, and the part about man!!!! LOL
I heard that there was a needle shope near where I live before but it closed before I moved here. Sucks!! There are 2 other decent shops with lots of cross stitch stuff but they are both more then a half an hour drive away. So unless I need something really bad, I usually just order them online. But still, it would be nice to see and touch the fabrics and threads before buying them....

Yup... Pet peeve of mine, too. Not doing what a person says they will.
